New ipod and Mac

Apple has done it again. Only five weeks after unveiling the Nano, Steve ushered in the fifth generation iPod, but this time with video capabilities. Apple is staying on top of the market by bringing in one hot and stylish product after the other. Purely amazing, the new mp3 player comes in 30 Gigabyte and 60 Gigabyte versions, the 30 GB only costing $269 with a student discount. I can remember the 15 Gig, non click-wheel, black and white screen white iPod costing $300! Why would anybody buy another mp3 player? The Dell DJ is cheaper, but it lacks the style, click-wheel like capabilities, and the color screen; not to mention video capabilities. The black and white UI on the Sony mp3 player is crud while it costs just as much as the iPod.

Along with the new iPod, Apple introduced the iMac G5, featuring a thinner console, built in iSight, faster processor, and the new 'Front Row' application, which gives you the capability to view full screen video and listen to audio with a new remote control. In one of the more humorous moments of the presentation, Steve compared the size of Windows Media Player controllers to the size of Apple's remote, Apple's being about one-third the size! An example presentation with amazing hardware helped Apple stay on top of the mp3 market, while delivering state-of-the-art technology in the iMac.
