US Savings Ratio Lowest Since the Great Depression

Last year, the US government spent $42 billion more dollars than they made. It is the largest ratio deficit our nation has faced since the Great Depression. Yeah, I know we were doing a lot of donating for the tsunami, Katrina, and the war and everything, but this is ridiculous. I never thought I'd say this, but the Republicans need to stop spending so much stinking money!

NBA games on Google Video

Google, using its Google video service, has partnered with the NBA to offer all of the basketball games this season. The latest games will be avaible for download 24 hours after the completion of the game. The official article here.

This really excites me because first of all, I love the NBA and watching basketball games. Second of all, I don't have TV channels right in our barn; so I will still be able to watch them. Do I think it will succeed, maybe a little. Google has been during offering a select number of television shows for a little while, but without much success. But the online video market, in many people's opinion, is going to be huge in the next few years; so not doing well in the beginning is to be expected. There will undoubtedly be new competitors coming over the next few years, so Google is trying to get an early advantage. Only time will tell whether it will last.
