Busy!
I have been so busy lately. My job is going great and I don't have to work as much anymore. I have to prepare for a twenty-minute report on Desiderius Erasmus to give in History on Friday, andn at the same time read Moby Dick in a week. And then I'm starting to play piano a few hours each day so...yeah I'm really busy.

Too Bad Russell Crowe
So, Russell Crowe won't be the the host of Sesame Street. When I read this article, I didn't even know he was being considered. After I thought about it for a little while I couldn't imagine him being in a children's show, let alone any non-serious movie. Then after a while I could see him in it, it's just his deep voice I wasn't sure about. Oh well.

My new job
I finally got another job. I'm now the head of web marketing for my Dad's new business, Hollygood. Hollygood edits movies to take out any language, gore, or unsuitable scenes. As the director of web marketing, I am in charge of adwords(those ads you see on Google searches), Amazon, ebay, Froogle, and anything else we decide we want to get into. Right now, though, I'm really concentrating on Adwords.
The business has really started off with a boom. We're starting radio campaigns as well as online marketing to get the word out, although Adwords has been the primary source of bringing in customers. We're talking about starting a Hollygood blog (which falls into web marketing so I would probably be in charge of it) and recently bought the domain for it.
It's a really busy and demanding job, but I'm starting to get the hang of online advertising and sales and am really enjoying it.

Google buys Writely!
The tech industry is abuzz as yesterday, internet giant Google bought what is widely thought of as the most popular web-based word processor, Writely. Until a few weeks ago, Google was struggling; mainly resulting from their decision to censor results in China. They responded with Google Pages, accidently hinted at a free, unlimited storage "GDrive," accidently leaked screenshots of a Google Calender, and in their biggest step in recuperating, bought Writely. This is a good decision for Google, since they already will have a large user base. Though I wonder why they didn't just create their own word processor. Almost everything they indepependently release is greeted with overwhelming popularity, so why didn't they just make their own? It had been rumoured that they would, but who knows, maybe it was just gossip. Nevertheless, Google has to pleased with their aquisition.

I guess you all have been noticing that I've been taking and posting a lot of pictures. Man, it's fun! I've been getting into it a lot recently, and right now I want to major in photography and be a wildlife photgrapher. That would be fun. I guess a lot of my posts from now on will be pictures, but I promise at least one post each day will be writing.
Origami Revealed!
After three weeks of intense speculation, it's here. Dubbed the UMPC(Ultra Mobile PC) by Microsoft, this new type of computer will be smaller than a laptop, but larger than a PDA. Its emphasis is being a take anywhere device; using it for everyday tasks, such as listening to music, watching movies, Instant Messaging, and browsing the web. Though hosting a variety of capabilities, Microsoft states that it will not replace the laptop, PDA, or MP3 player. The flagship , made by Samsung, will have a 7-inch touch screen, a stylus, and an on-screen keyboard. It will run Windows XP, though I'm thinking most people may hold off on buying one until it comes with Vista. The speculation site, is now complete with week three. Microsoft also has different site explaining the UMPC concept. A picture of the Samsung UMPC below. Enjoy.
